Our Week in Georgia

We were able to spend a week in Georgia visiting Jared's family over the Memorial Day holiday, and we had such a great trip. In fact, Hallie told us many times while we were there that she wanted to move to Atlanta and live with Nana (Jared's Grandma). No one in Jared's family had seen Charlie since he'd been born so it was neat that everyone finally got to meet him. Hallie and Charlie were both spoiled with gifts and lots of love and attention from everyone. Actually, we were all very well taken care of and it was nice to have a whole week to relax and enjoy our time together. Here's an overview of some of the fun things we did:

  • Ate at Chick-fil-A
  • Took a beautiful scenic drive to Amicalola Falls
  • Went to a fun Memorial Day BBQ
  • Spent time with Jared's good friend from high school and her family
  • Ate at Chick-fil-A
  • Went to Babyland General Hospital (where the Cabbage Patch babies are born)
  • Did some major shopping at the North Georgia Premium Outlets
  • Ate lunch in Helen (a cute little German town)
  • Made lots of fun memories
  • And did I mention we ate at Chick-fil-A?

We found a turtle in Nana's driveway one day

A view from the top of the falls. Looking out over the mountains of north Georgia. It was green and beautiful like this everywhere.

One picture with myself in it, to prove I was there

Hallie in front of the Cabbage Patch Hospital just before going inside. My camera battery died after only a couple of pictures so I didn't get a shot of Hallie and the cute little Cabbage Patch Kid she adopted. The baby she is holding is one she brought from home.

We got to see a mother cabbage give birth while we were there. It was a little weird but kind of cute at the same time.

Looks like fun. We're heading there in November; anything we should defniitely see while we're there?
By the way, a cabbage giving birth? That is a little disconcerting.
