We wanted to have a little party in our backyard to kick off the start of the summer season and to enjoy the beautiful weather we've been experiencing. I decided to do an "Italian Soda" party because it was something different. Unfortunately a lot of our friends had to cancel at the last minute so we ended up with a pretty small crowd (thank you Scott and Kayrena for coming- without you the party would have been really sad). Even with the shortened guest list we had a really fun night. I guess the good news for us (not for my thighs) is that we have enough left over ingredients to enjoy Italian Sodas every night for the next month!

Seriously, how cute is this picture? Just two little girls sipping strawberry sodas in the summertime.
We've discovered Charlie's new favorite thing is hanging out on a blanket in the backyard. He loves it out there.
Hallie wore her swimsuit because it was so hot that day and she wanted to get wet with water balloons. It actually got pretty cold as soon as the sun went down.
Here are our three new birch trees in the backyard. We're hoping they'll provide us with some much needed privacy as they grow.
