We started off our Fourth of July celebration bright and early by going to a pancake breakfast at our church. In the afternoon we went to a parade in a nearby town and then to a little children's carnival afterwards. That evening we had a BBQ in the backyard and set off some fireworks out in the street just before bed. It was a beautiful, sunny, relaxed day and it was nice to spend it together.

Hallie fell out of bed last week and woke up with a pretty good shiner on her right eye. I was hoping it would be gone by now but it's still visible in some of the pictures.

Charlie had a great time at the parade but Hallie was suffering from a bad case of the "three-year-old attitudes" for awhile.

I realized on the morning of the 4th that I do not own a red or navy blue shirt. Isn't that crazy? I felt so un-patriotic all day. Mental note for next year... buy a red t-shirt.

This nice lady offered to take a picture of our family. Charlie was sitting next to Jared and she obviously was not aware that he was part of our family. The poor little guy got cut out of this one.

Hallie on her first pony ride. She looked pretty tough riding that pony with a black eye and a tattoo!
Hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July too!

Looks like fun. Hallie's counterpart, Porter, was also sporting a festive Fourth of July tatt (though no shiner...guess you've got the tougher kid). Hey, did you guys text us on the fourth? We got a text from a 419-number, but I lost my cell phone a month or so ago, so I don' thave anyone's numbers anymore. Which brings me to my next point: we need your digits, please. And thank you.
Jaime,
I love looking at the pictures on your blog! I've tried to save them but they just save as small little pictures that I can't get to fill the screen. Maybe you can help me when you are here. You have a beautiful little family! Best looking kids since my own:)
Love you,
Mom
Jaime, that is so funny with the family photo minus Charlie, even though Jared has his hand over there on the stroller. It was a nice guesture though right? And Hallie was so tough on that pony--she's intimidating with a tattoo on her muscly bicep!
