Hallie has been begging for an American Girl doll for the past few years, so this year I finally gave in and decided she was old enough to get one. Luckily for us an American Girl store just opened in Seattle so we decided to celebrate her 6th birthday by spending the day at the store and having a special birthday lunch in their bistro.
After two years of studying the American Girl catalogue, Hallie had her mind made up and new exactly which doll she wanted. As soon as we walked in the store she headed straight for "Julie".
The store was every little girl's dream. In fact I thought it was pretty amazing too. It was a good thing that Jared was there to enforce the budget because I could have gone crazy in there. We made it out of the the store with Julie and a couple of her outfits and accessories. It was definitely a successful trip and such a fun day for Hallie.
After shopping we changed Julie into her birthday outfit and waited for our lunch reservations.
I had to throw in this picture of Charlie because I couldn't believe how big he looks. I can't believe he's turning 3 soon. My kids are growing up way too fast!
When we sat down for lunch Hallie and Julie each got a birthday crown to wear.
They let Charlie borrow a doll to sit with at lunch and it was so funny... he was not interested in it at all! In fact I had to beg him to scoot close for a picture.
Happy Birthday sweet Hallie girl! We love you so much!
