Easter Festivities

This year we packed the Friday and Saturday before Easter full of all sorts of holiday activities. Friday night we decorated eggs together and ended up with some really pretty ones. Saturday morning we took Hallie to her first Easter egg hunt at a local park. There were tons of people there, but luckily the chaos was pretty controlled. I heard one of the people in charge say that they had put out 17,000 eggs and they were collected in 2 minutes and 3 seconds. Hallie ended up with a whole basket full (with the help of Jared) and luckily wasn't trampled in the process.

After the big egg hunt we headed over to this really fun furniture store to get a picture with the Easter bunny. There were also lots of people there and I had to stand in line for an hour to get our picture, but it was definitely worth it. At the store they also had a petting zoo and a little egg hunt set up for the kids. For this egg hunt the kids had 5 minutes to dig through piles of straw to find the hidden eggs. It was pretty hilarious watching Hallie push around the hay in one little spot trying not to get dirty. Needless to say she only ended up with a few eggs in her bag. Even with all of the crowds and long lines we had a really fun weekend.
