Big Girl Bed

We finally transitioned Hallie from a crib to a twin size bed. This switch was probably long over due, but we were waiting to find out the sex of the new baby to know whether or not she would have to switch bedrooms. Anyway, I was a little nervous about making the switch but it turned out to be easy as pie. In fact, she even stays in her bed in the morning and waits for somebody to come and get her up. She hasn't gotten out of her bed once during the night or during nap time. How lucky am I? Our only issue has been the two nights when she has fallen out of bed. I made my own makeshift bed rails by inserting foam pool noodles under her sheets on each side of the mattress. Overall they have worked out great except for the those two times when they have slipped down on the side of the mattress. I feel like such a bad parent when I hear a "thud" in the middle of the night and find my child crying on the floor. I'll have to look into a way to better secure those darn noodles.
