Big Girl Bed
We finally transitioned Hallie from a crib to a twin size bed. This switch was probably long over due, but we were waiting to find out the sex of the new baby to know whether or not she would have to switch bedrooms. Anyway, I was a little nervous about making the switch but it turned out to be easy as pie. In fact, she even stays in her bed in the morning and waits for somebody to come and get her up. She hasn't gotten out of her bed once during the night or during nap time. How lucky am I? Our only issue has been the two nights when she has fallen out of bed. I made my own makeshift bed rails by inserting foam pool noodles under her sheets on each side of the mattress. Overall they have worked out great except for the those two times when they have slipped down on the side of the mattress. I feel like such a bad parent when I hear a "thud" in the middle of the night and find my child crying on the floor. I'll have to look into a way to better secure those darn noodles. Here are a few pictures of her room and crazy Hallie on her new bed. What a big girl!

Hallie's room is adorable! She is so cute. Where did you get her bed from? I am starting to slowly piece together things for Allie to move into a big bed. I love the noodle idea for siderails, that made me laugh!
Funoodles...very inventive Mrs. Schrum! We haven't braved the world of sleeping without a crib just yet, but I'll add that to my good ideas list for when the time comes (so if you figure out how to keep them in place, please pass that info along as well).
As always, Hallie is adorable. Can't wait to see all three of you next month!
She is such a doll and your house is perfect and decorated so well like always. We miss you guys and love you tons!
I can't believe I found your blog. It was so good to see how you guys are doing. You look great! I hope you don't mind...I'd love to keep in touch with you.
