A Trip Down South

We decided to take advantage of a week Jared had off from school and fly down to the great state of Georgia to visit his family.  With Jared traveling so much now for work it was nice to get away for a little vacation and to spend an entire week together (that doesn't happen very often any more). 

We have a few things we love to do when we travel to Georgia and we made sure to check them off our list again this time.  Shopping at the amazing outlet mall in Dawsonville, eating at Chick-fil-A, visiting a little German town and having schnitzel for lunch, we did it all.  We also went to the Georgia Aquarium for the first time on this visit and had a great time. 

The kids were showered with loved and attention from Oma and Nana and many others who helped make our trip so special.  Our only negative to the whole trip was Charlie waking up at one in the morning the night before we were coming home and throwing up six times.  It was awful.  It was by far the worst night I've ever had as a parent and I was so thankful that Jared was there to help.  Luckily, there was no throwing up on the flight home but there was a very sick little guy with a very high fever that wanted me to hold him the whole five hour flight.  It was a very long day but we made it home alive.  Now we're back to life as usual and missing everyone we love in Georgia.

We made a quick stop at the Cabbage Patch Hospital again this year and got to see another mother cabbage give birth!

I know these pictures aren't great but they had these huge whale sharks there that were so amazing and so neat to watch.

All tuckered out after a morning spent at the aqaurium.  I always have to take a picture of my kids asleep in the car because it rarely happens.
