Wow... how is it December 8th already and I haven't even posted about Thanksgiving yet. I've got some catching up to do. We drove to Boise this year to spend Thanksgiving with my family. We only stayed for five days which was a much shorter trip than I'm used to. I left feeling like I didn't get to do everything I wanted to do or see everyone I wanted to see. We did have a great five days, they just went by much to quick! Like usual I didn't take very many pictures while we were there. In fact I didn't take any until the last day of the trip. Luckily my sister-in-law took a cute picture of the cousins together and sent me a copy.
Our last day in Boise we went with my Dad and Nel to the Festival of Trees. We took the kids last year for the first time so this must be our new Thanksgiving tradition. Hallie loved every minute of it. The trees are beautiful and there are lots of games and activities for the kids.
Here's just one of the many incredible trees.
I remember last year we took a picture almost identical to this and Charlie was just a little baby. Now he looks like such a big boy!
Hallie was very brave and hugged the giant teddy bear.
Have you ever seen a Big Bird Christmas tree before?

Uncle Robb wrote a really cute song about Charlie and he sang it for us on our last night in town. Hallie sang the chorus. It said, "I love Charlie yes I do, I love Charlie even if he toots." I think she was pretty excited that she got to say the word "toot" in a song. She was laughing so hard the whole time. It was very cute.
