I had to share this picture of us and our pumpkins because it is so rare that we ever have a picture with all three of us. I don't know why it has taken me two years to realize that we could use the self timer on our camera to get a picture of all of us, but the thought finally came to me the night we carved our pumpkins and it worked out great! I also had to share some pictures of our little octopus on Halloween. We had such a fun Halloween this year. Our friends the Thompsons came over with their two little boys and between the two of us, I'm pretty sure we had the cutest trick-or-treaters in the neighborhood!! I was a little afraid that Hallie wouldn't want to go trick or treating (I think I've mentioned this timid phase she's going through) and there was definitely some crying at first, but once she saw how much fun her friend Carter was having, she really got into it. Anyway, we ended the night with donuts and hot chocolate and one happy little octopus.

what a cute little costume! How did you think of the idea for her to be an octopus? I am so not creative with those sorts of things. And I loved the picture of the three of you....your hair is so long jaime!
